The minimum cost for the cyst removal is $ 680. It may vary depend on the size, location as well as the number of cysts that needs to be removed. (The starting price for each lesion will be lower if removing multiple lesions within the same session)

What is a sebaceous cyst?

Sebaceous cysts, also known as epidermal or epidermoid cysts, are dome-shaped lesions that are generally found on the face, neck, or torso.

They are mostly harmless but can become uncomfortable if they go unchecked. Most walled cysts are soft to the touch and grow slowly, and can vary from a few millimetres to 5 centimetres in diameter. Ruptures might also occur, resulting in the discharge of soft, yellow keratin material into the dermis.

What causes sebaceous cysts?

Sebaceous cysts are caused by the oil (sebum) produced by the sebaceous gland. Cysts develop from the sebaceous gland if the gland or its duct becomes damaged or blocked. This usually occurs when there is a scratch, a surgical wound, or a skin condition, such as acne. As sebaceous cysts grow slowly, the injury may have happened weeks or months before you notice the cyst.
